In the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 carpooling and ridesharing apps in Italy displayed a range of performance trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, the unified platform data (iOS and Android combined) for these apps provides a comprehensive look at their weekly downloads and active user metrics.

Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 11.3K at the end of June and peaking at 15.8K by mid-September. Its weekly active users showed a robust upward trajectory, beginning at approximately 404K and reaching 476K by the end of the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus experienced a gradual rise in weekly downloads, starting at around 3.9K at the end of June and maintaining a steady range around 4.5K to 5.5K throughout the quarter. The app's weekly active users increased from about 23.5K to 27.2K over the same period.

Bolt: Request a Ride showed a variable download trend, starting at approximately 3.1K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching a peak of 5.9K in early August. Weekly active users for Bolt also saw growth, moving from about 10.9K to 15.1K by the end of September.
